Begin the day in Fajã da Areia, a quiet volcanic viewpoint overlooking Madeira’s dramatic “Europe’s Hawaii” coastline.
Continue through São Vicente and follow scenic green roads toward Seixal, arriving early to enjoy the black‑sand beach at the ideal time of day.
Reach Porto Moniz for a flexible break — from a quick swim to a relaxed oceanfront lunch — anywhere between 30 minutes and 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Cross the island on a beautiful regional road toward Ponta do Pargo, visiting the lighthouse and admiring Madeira’s wild western cliffs.
