Your journey begins in Santa Cruz, a charming seaside village known for its relaxed atmosphere. Stroll through the center and enjoy a treat from one of Madeira’s best local bakeries.
We continue to Machico, the historic landing point of Madeira’s first Portuguese settlers. Explore the bay, walk the waterfront, and soak in the town’s rich maritime heritage.
Next, we head to the island’s easternmost point: Ponta de São Lourenço. At Ponta do Rosto, you’ll witness dramatic volcanic cliffs, sweeping ocean views, and one of Madeira’s most iconic landscapes.
Our route continues to Porto da Cruz, where you’ll visit Engenhos do Norte, Europe’s only steam‑powered sugarcane mill still in operation. Taste traditional local flavors and learn about Madeira’s rum‑making heritage.
Before returning to Funchal, we ascend to Portela Viewpoint at 670 m, offering breathtaking panoramas over the lush north coast and the village of Porto da Cruz below.
